The Softest Space

Where Love Rests

By Ms Jade Published 4 months ago 1 min read

I carry you in the softest part of my heart, where my love keeps you warm. Heartbeats gently sound your name with every thump, as if I needed a reminder of your presence. I dare not whisper it aloud, for I fear my voice will not hold. As my gaze falters, I am acutely aware my being was made to walk beside you. In but one glance, you shaped our future; be it bold or quiet, I am convinced it stays in forever. Standing, a sliver of light behind, your shadow covers me, allowing everything that I am to rest completely. The soft air flowing between us, caressing, allowing movement without restraint, just held in recognition. Unadorned. Free. Quiet in the softest space of your love.

About the Creator

Ms Jade

Ms Jade writes by listening inward — where stories wait beneath the surface.

Some things you’re told to follow. Some things you have to feel out for yourself. I write in between— learning as I go.
