The Slum land Girl and the Priest
Two hearts that longed foe each other

The Slumland Girl and the Priest
She lived where rain came through the roof,
Where coins were short and hunger proof.
He wore a robe, a cross, a name,
Bound by vows and holy flame.
She lit a fire with her grin,
He felt the pull, the quiet sin.
Each glance they stole grew more intense.
What starts as small can soon make sense.
She said, “This life was never mine,”
He said, “Nor was that pulpit line.”
So one cold night, no stars above,
They took their chance, they ran for love.
No choir sang, no bells were rung,
Just bootsteps on the road they clung.
She held his hand, he dropped his past,
The robes, the rites, gone with the blast.
Now far from rules and steeple walls,
They build a life with no high calls.
A girl once lost, a man once sworn,
Together, wild, and newly born.
They ask his god to bless and let him free
he says lord she is the one for me.
A tear drop fell from gods eye
he said stop you? no way go fly high.
even sinners can be forgiven
go in peace this life is for living
