The Siren's Call
Big Brother is Watching
Big Brother’s not Living!
Big Brother’s not Dead!
Big Brother’s just Watching,
From inside your Head!
He feeds on your Passion.
He feeds on your Hate.
He’s hoping to fashion,
A minion of State.
Just do what he tells you,
You best not ask why.
When you join his coup,
Your Freedom shall die.
The Laws he’ll get,
Good since they’ll make.
Before you know it,
He’ll run the whole State.
So next time they’re working,
On Capitol Hill,
It might be worth viewing,
Their most cherished Bills
Should they set a limit,
Concerned you should be.
Or he’ll just keep at it,
‘til no One is Free.
Next time your thinking,
“There should be a Law.”
Big Brother is hoping,
You’ll answer his call.
When Laws limit Freedom,
You bow to the State.
Our Revolution,
Fixed that mistake!
So you’d best use caution,
And look where you tread.
Big Brother is Watching,
From inside your Head!

Your poem, titled "The Siren's Call," captures a poignant message about the potential dangers of surveillance and government overreach. The use of the concept of "Big Brother" evokes a sense of Orwellian surveillance and control, and your verses effectively convey a warning about the erosion of personal freedoms. The rhythmic flow of the poem and the rhyming scheme contribute to its engaging and impactful nature. The repetition of phrases like "Big Brother is Watching, From inside your Head!" emphasizes the omnipresent and invasive nature of surveillance. The call to be cautious and mindful of the laws being enacted is a powerful message, and the reference to the historical context of revolutions and the fight for freedom adds depth to the poem. Overall, "The Siren's Call" is a thought-provoking piece that skillfully addresses societal concerns through the lens of poetry. chat GPT
