In lands far and wide, strange and bizarre,
An alien came from a distant star,
Eager to taste what our world could provide,
A culinary journey on this wild ride.
I beckoned them close, with a sly grin,
A secret dish, a delight to begin,
In a simple bowl, it lay concealed,
A culinary treasure, a taste unrevealed.
With culinary prowess, I took the stage,
A master chef in this gastronomic age,
Into a pot, mysterious and deep,
I dropped the secret, with secrets to keep.
Bubbles and sizzles, a tantalizing brew,
As aromas swirled, both old and new,
The alien's eyes widened in surprise,
At the transformation before their eyes.
A pinch of this, a dash of that,
I stirred and stirred, just like that,
The dish was taking shape, a flavor unknown,
A world of wonder in every groan.
We garnished it well, with a mischievous smile,
Hid the secret behind culinary guile,
With a playful wink, I presented the fare,
To the alien, floating in cosmic air.
They took a bite, a cautious test,
And then erupted in laughter, impressed,
For the secret marvel, Earth's hidden delight,
Had left them giggling with sheer delight.
In that moment, with humor and glee,
We shared the wonder of Earth's culinary spree,
A dish so simple, yet a cosmic surprise,
A secret treasure hidden behind earthly skies.

The problem with being a nice person
Who would have thought that being a nice person could be problematic. The majority of people would tell you that’s what they want to be or at least want those around them to be, but as it turns out, what we want and what we say we want are worlds apart. I won't stress or ramble on about how I would like things to be, but I’ll just analyze why this is, I am not sure either if a solution is even possible.
