The Seasons’ Dance a weeping song
Life’s four stages of love

The Seasons’ Dance a weeping song
Apple blossoms cling to branches,
a delicate show of spring,
each bloom a promise,
summer stirring just beyond.
Yet beauty is brief,
scattered by a wicked wind,
petals falling like silent tears.
The willows witness.
bowing, weeping,
grieving the passing of spring.
But summer is born,
sunsets smiling wide,
people twirling in romance’s embrace,
a dance led by the trees.
Then summer steps aside,
leaves darken,
whispering, let us linger a little longer,
Although the season will not wait.
The final curtain falls.
What was is gone.
Emptiness seeps in,
the cold takes hold,
no more warmth.
Winter arrives,
and with it,
one last, quiet farewell
to the earth and the sky. Good bye
