The Sages down the Ages

A billion souls have lived over the centuries,

Millenia of time that has been,

Living and loving like in a dream.

A billion souls have loved and lost their destinies,

Like leaves falling off a billion trees.

A thousand battles have been fought for naught,

A billion souls have been vanquished and lost.

A million victories have been silently won,

A billion lives have seen the rising and setting Sun.

What a privilege it is for us in the world today,

To live our lives of love and freedom every day.

What a blessing it is for us to have the power,

To control our lives every swiftly passing hour.

The power we hold is in our fragile human hands,

The power to alter the future of our life plans.

From the Ages and the Sages that have been,

We know that we hold the future of humanity,

By how we live our present lives and destiny.

From the Sages that have lived and died,

We know that humanity can live and love,

If we learn to respect every other human being,

We are all part of Creation molded by the All-Seeing.

Our souls grow from bud to a blossoming flower,

Nourished by the enrichment of every passing hour.

We do not need to search for immortality and power,

The secret we hold lies buried within our human hearts,

Eternity lies expanding before us, we can see and tell,

When our weary and blooming souls exit our mortal shell.

The secret of humanity has been spoken by the Sages,

They have seen our futures, as we live the wisdom of the Ages.
