At the end of the road I found love

My soulmate, the joy I’d been longing for

One woman whom I’ve come to dream of

I lift up my eyes to the heavens above

And with time I admire her even more

At the end of the road I found love

I watch through the window a mourning dove

A gentle reminder of what I adore

One woman whom I’ve come to dream of

Winter arrives, yet her warmth is enough

So tender, so gracious, so noble at core

At the end of the road I found love

Hand in hand, like a perfectly fit glove

Together through life, through each open door

One woman whom I’ve come to dream of

My one and only, my bright star above

The heartbeat that always returns me to shore

At the end of the road I found love

One woman whom I’ve come to dream of
