The Rhythm of Us

Romantic Sunday poem

By Paul StewartPublished 6 months ago • Updated 6 months ago • 1 min read
Ruth, oldest cousin with her youngest cousin

Making coffee

Breakfast rituals

Seeded yoghurt

Prepared with care

The pills, to ward off

The demons

#

Lunch – meat and bits

Coleslaw, of course

Your smile

Laughter at jokes ridiculous

Your scent

Your presence

Larger than life

#

Steak served two ways

Your way, my way

The right way

You prefer well done

I prefer rare so very rare

#

We sit we talk

Sometimes we sit

Binge shows

Consume music

#

You bounce (rebounder)

While I watch

One Piece

Showers at the end

Socks at bedtime

To ward off chilblains
