she paced
Stepping forward ten steps
Retracing all ten
She mumbled
Incantations from another life
Many moons ago
When she was his wife
Life didn’t seem so simple then
She couldn’t pretend
It always suited her
Square paper rested on her tongue
Lisurgic acid dithalamide
Who knows if she spelled that right
She was beginning to come undone
Unraveled, unrequited
She recanted all she believed she knew
She stopped!
Stood cactus still in the middle
Of the living Room
Tantric. Pensive. Kinetic
What comes next? She asked
But she knew…
She raged and raced out the door
Running for what felt like forever
She never felt before
Never feel again
The traces of divinity
Coursing through her veins
Insane?
Maybe
She ended up staring over the water
End of the peer
Safety Harbor
Ironic
There was no harbor that could
Provide her safety
Maybe she wasn’t meant to be
Here
Now
The words of Ram Daas
Often haunted her
Why wasn’t she simple like so many?
Black and white was easier
Her world embraced every hue
She was particularly fond
Cobalt blue as it melted into purple
the moonshine embraced her skin
She drank it in
Knowing only some would ever know
Her blood raced and she spaced out
Farther into the cosmos
Dancing to the edge of oblivion
Oceans of thought
Dissipated into
Cacaphony of sounds
Profound electricity became
Stars ✨
Souls about to be born
She danced around the star tree
Floated for a while
Became the most ethereal music
Felt God smile
Listlessly she drifted
Darkest coldest space
Tried to remember her body
Tried to remember her face
Reluctantly she felt her reflection
Heard him calling her name
Fought it for a moment
Then returned to the earth plane
She was startled to find herself
Holding a rose 🌹
Standing in the middle of the living room
Not remembering how she came to be
There
