Love

He stood before her, heart beating fast,
Her beauty and grace, made his love last,
He took a deep breath, and began to speak,
His heart on his sleeve, his love to seek.

"My dearest love, I have something to say,
A question that's been on my mind every day,
My heart beats for you, and only you,
I want to spend my life, making your dreams come true."

She looked at him, her eyes shining bright,
His love for her, had brought her delight,
Her heart racing, as she listened to his plea,
She wondered if this was meant to be.

He knelt down on one knee, with a ring in his hand,
A symbol of his love, a promise to stand,
By her side, through thick and thin,
Together they'll fight, and always win.

"My love, will you marry me?"
He whispered, his heart full of glee,
Her eyes filled with tears, as she said yes,
Their love for each other, they will profess.

He slipped the ring on her finger, a symbol of their love,
Their hearts beating as one, like two doves,
Together they'll take on the world, hand in hand,
A love story, written in the sand.

Their hearts beating, as they embrace,
Their love for each other, nothing can replace,
Forever they'll be, two souls entwined,
A love story, that will never unwind.
