The Procrastinator's Mind

Psychology of Procrastination

In the depths of our mind, lies a curious thing

A force so strong, it can make us do anything

It's called procrastination, the bane of our days

A thief of our time, in so many ways

We all know the feeling, of putting things off

Of pushing deadlines, and tasks so tough

It's a habit we all have, to some degree

But how do we overcome, this tendency?

The psychology of procrastination, is complex and deep

A fear of failure, or success, that we often keep

A lack of motivation, or discipline, so they say

But it's much more, than just a simple delay

The mind of a procrastinator, is a curious thing

A maze of thoughts, that ebb and swing

A battle of wills, between now and later

A struggle to focus, and become greater

But fear not, dear reader, there is hope

For the procrastinator, there is a way to cope

With mindfulness, and self-awareness, we can start

To overcome this habit, and make a new heart

So let us embrace, the psychology of procrastination

Let us understand, its complex formation

And with patience, and persistence, let us prevail

For in the end, it is we who hold the final scale.
