The Price of Love

A Heart That Gives All: The Eternal Price of Love and Loyalty

By Akrem TliliPublished about a year ago • 1 min read

I have walked through shadows, silent and alone,

Where every step echoed the weight of my own.

Yet in the quiet corners of my restless heart,

Your name has lingered, never to depart.

The world may call me weak for feeling so deep,

But love is a promise I have chosen to keep.

Through storms and trials, through fire and rain,

I bear my loyalty, and endure the pain.

If sacrifice is the path that love demands,

I offer my soul with open hands.

Not for glory, not for fleeting praise,

But to honor the bond that lights my days.

I have given my nights to endless thought,

Wrestling with fears that time has brought.

Yet even in doubt, your face appears,

A beacon of hope that dissolves my fears.

To love is to surrender, to risk, to fall,

Yet to stand again, answering the call.

I am the keeper of your dreams and mine,

Bound by a devotion that will not resign.

And when the world turns cruel and cold,

When hearts grow weary and spirits fold,

I will hold fast, unwavering, true,

For my greatest act has always been you.

So judge me not for the battles I choose,

For in loving you, I have nothing to lose.

Every scar, every tear, every sleepless night,

Is but a testament to our shared light.

And should the end ever come, as it must,

Know that my love was faithful, steadfast, and just.

For life may claim the body, the fleeting breath,

But our love, our sacrifice, outlasts even death.
