The price of being gay!

Poetry LGBT

They say being gay is a choice but I beg to differ

Take a walk in our shoes and maybe consider

Consider our feelings we have to suppress

Trapped in a closet with fear from stress

Stress from the ridicule, judgement and hate

Told being gay is a sin and hell awaits our fate

But the hate you give comes from a dark place

A place inside of you who you must come face to face

See I recognize the hatred, you wouldn’t suspect

That differences lies within all of us you just can’t accept

Accept that we are born in his/her image nonetheless

Being gay is a gift, and that we are truly blessed.
