The Price of Being Beautiful
Certain Death

Like the excitement a new seed brings
We started out so innocently
Our love was a new a life sprouting
So full of possibilities and beauty
Like a new seedling our love began to grow
Needing tender care and careful nurturing
In order to bloom when ready
Like a flower our love began to bud
So beautiful with all the happiness hidden within us
As our bond deepened so did our love
Blossoming brightly for everyone to see
Like it had been plucked the petals of our love began to wilt
Severed from the roots life began to drain from a once healthy love
Petals now dry and color now dull a love once full of life was now dead and gone
Such is the price for many beautiful things
