Hang in there, they say. Don’t give up too son.
This content creation, man. Aspiring to be
Another influencer? Another online “salesperson”
Or the face of a brand and somehow an identity?
Tenacity, dedication, consistency.
Don’t give up, keep going. Every. Single. Damn.
Day. Keep. At it. Every. Day.
What if I’m neurodivergent? What if I have
Undiagnosed ADHD?
Doesn’t matter. Keep going. In whatever way
You can. Follow your passions. Write out
Your checklists. Process it the way you need.
Keep going. Don’t give up.
If it helps to organise your flow.
A bucket here for First Drafts.
A bucket there for Second Drafts.

Routine doesn’t have to be an everyday
Commitment. Break it up. Weekly or
Bi-weekly (fortnightly), or monthly.
You don’t want to start something and then
Give up one-third of the way through.
Rather, allow yourself to plan in cycles.
You know this task will take a weekly 3 to 4
Hours of energy. And even after that,
You’ll need more breaks. So chip away
At it that way. Not everyday. An afternoon
Each week. Or every two weeks. Or simply,
Once a month.
Daily tasks have to be easy. It’s unsustainable
If it’s not. Keep up what you can on the daily.
The smaller exertions, such as first drafts.
Brain dump. Get it all out.
iPad notes app - good enough.
Use the dictation tools, if that helps. You know,
The little microphone icon that when you press it,
The AI will capture your voice to generate
Typed out words for you. You can always go
Back in to edit and clean it up.
Processing emotions in whatever healthy way
You can. Meditate. Write. Paint. Draw.
Let it all be expressed.
Humans want Humanity.
Humans want the Truth of the Human experience.
A robot can copy and paste, but a robot
Does not experience what we experience.
We try to capture it, but it is effervescent.
Don't give up. This is only the
Pregnant Pause before success.
You'll succeed by doing things
Your Way.
About the Creator
Nicole C
Writing sporadically... I tried some challenges but never won anything. Sometimes my poetry helps me process whatever has been going on... sometimes it is pure fiction. Sometimes I like to write about pop culture and astrology.
