Once a tale

Of one astride

a galloping mare

crying and crying

on and on, the rider goes

said the preacher

Go forth and to

Go back and on

upon a wanderer’s spell

Forward and unto

Forever to the horizon

Said the preacher

On the mistful eve

The evening star sits high

A guidance to all

Who treads the mist?

On a willful track

To heavens glove

Said the preacher

The trial of life

The hand of destiny

To be turned at will

For the wondrous track

At the end at last

For so it says,

said the preacher

Only then

Will one receive heavens gift?

Said the preacher
