The Power of Words

Will Your Voice Heal or Harm?

By Kamel SaidaniPublished about a year ago 1 min read

Small in sound,

Yet heavy in weight,

They carve deep wounds or build tall gates—

A Double-Edged Dagger.

Spoken in haste,

They burn like fire,

Igniting rage, fueling ire—

A Lingering Lantern.

With whispers woven in deceit,

They corrode the mind, erode the feet

Of those who trust too easily—

A Poisoned Promise.

Yet…

Such a perilous pen

Can be mended again—

For truth heals wounds

Like Compassion’s Cure.

And from a heart sincere and whole,

Flow words that soothe the soul,

Mending minds, restoring light

A Balm for the Broken.

When wielded with warmth,

They bloom like spring,

Calling forth hope and softening sting

A Whispered Wonder.

So…

What do you speak?

Do your words empower the weak?

Do they crumble trust like fallen stone,

Or build bridges in hearts unknown?

Each day, we choose

How our voices are used.

To sing with grace or wound with rage

This is the Power of Words.
