The Peaceful Slumber
As the day fades into night,
My weary eyes begin to close,
Embracing the tranquil delight,
Of a restful, deep repose.
The world around me slowly stills,
As I drift into the realm of dreams,
Escaping life's daily thrills,
Where serenity gently gleams.
In this sanctuary of the mind,
I find solace and sweet release,
Leaving all worries behind,
Enveloped in blissful peace.
The rhythmic breathing, calm and deep,
Lulls my senses into a soothing trance,
As I surrender to the embrace of sleep,
Allowing my soul to gently dance.
Through the night, this precious gift,
Rejuvenates my body and soul,
Preparing me for the day to lift,
Refreshed and ready to take control.
Oh, sweet sleep, how I cherish thee,
Your restorative powers so divine,
Granting me the tranquility,
To face the world, once more, as mine.
