The pain of being separated from someone who was with us

My friend is gone, a silent ache resides,

In the chambers of my heart where love abides.

We once were close, like stars in midnight skies,

But now, the distance in our friendship lies.

The pain of separation cuts so deep,

Like rivers carving canyons, memories seep.

Into my soul, where laughter used to bloom,

Now only echoes in the empty room.

I miss the warmth of your familiar face,

The way your laughter filled up every space.

But life's cruel hand has torn us far apart,

Leaving behind this ever-present heart.

We shared our dreams, our hopes, and all our fears,

In each other's presence, we'd shed no tears.

But now, the miles stretch out like endless night,

And in this loneliness, I long for sight.

The touch, the words, the moments that we shared,

The way you showed me that you truly cared.

These memories, like treasures, I hold dear,

A testament to a friendship once so near.

Though distance keeps us worlds and worlds apart,

Know that you're forever in my heart.

No matter where life's journey takes us now,

Our friendship's flame still burns, I solemnly vow.

So as we navigate this path unknown,

Remember, my dear friend, you're not alone.

Though we're separated, we will find a way,

To bridge the gap, and meet again one day.

Truly lost my friend
