The One He Never Married

...

By Tedo SharadenidzePublished about a year ago • 1 min read

My friend once told me

“When could-haves and what-ifs knock on the door in your early eighties

When the last strands of hair on your sideburns have long turned snow white,

When your legs can’t bear the weight, and your heart the sighs and pities,

Don’t moan about her,

the cookie in your hand has become

too hard

to bite."

Best Wishes.
