The oceanographer Jim set sail on his ship,

With him was the cartographer, Helen.

They set sail to chart and measure every ocean,

From the Arctic Ocean to the end of the horizon.

From the North Atlantic Ocean to the Sunset,

They sailed from east to the west.

From the South Atlantic Ocean to the Waves,

From the Indian Ocean to the hidden caves.

The Voyagers sailed from the north to the south.

From the North Pacific Ocean to the end of the world,

From the South Pacific Ocean to the beginning of time,

From the Antarctic Ocean to the frozen lands,

Braving all odds, enduring, and surviving every time.

Across the seven seas, they traveled,

The oceanographer recorded every single wave,

Mapping the ocean, underwater shelf, and sea cave.

The cartographer charted the ocean from end to end,

Loving the oceans like a long-lost friend.

Over the course of their travels,

They came across storms at sea,

Pirates who were bloodthirsty.

The ocean and the seas were their home,

They were always free to roam.

Being the experts over the wide expanse,

Valued by everyone on sea and land.

They have been sailing the seven seas,

Continuing their scientific voyage for eternity.

Though the age of the cartographer is rare,

Every map created over the years,

Is precious and valuable beyond compare.
