THE NIGHT

THE NIGHT

By Ngozi OtoecherePublished 4 months ago 1 min read

In the velvet folds of night, mysteries enfold, Where shadows dance, and secrets untold. Beneath the cloak of stars, the world is hushed, As the moon's silver beams in silence brushed.

In the darkness, whispers stir the air, Echoes of dreams, of hope, of despair. The night, a canvas for the poet's pen, A realm where imagination finds its den.

The moon, a guiding light in the midnight sky, Casting its spell, as the hours fly by. It watches over the earth with silent grace, A sentinel of time in this sacred space.

Beneath its glow, the world takes on new form, The mundane transformed, the ordinary adorned. Every shadow, every flicker, tells a tale, Of love found and lost, of ships setting sail.

In the stillness of the night, the soul finds peace, A moment of respite, a sweet release. The worries of the day fade into the dark, As the night embraces, leaving its mark.

Yet, within the quiet, there lies a stirring, A sense of longing, a subtle yearning. For what lies beyond the veil of night, What secrets hide in the absence of light?

Perhaps it's in the night that we truly see, The beauty of the world, the vastness of eternity. For in the darkness, we find our truest selves, In the depths of night, where mystery dwells.

Therefore, let's welcome the night with open arms.

Let its magic weave through our hearts and palms. For in its embrace, we find solace and delight, In the enchanting wonder of the night.
