The Night of Gentle Light
A child was born to save us all

The Night of Gentle Light
The streets were still and silvered,
a calm swept through the air,
a single star was burning,
and peace was everywhere.
The walls were soft with shadow,
the sky was wide and deep,
the world was holding silence,
as if afraid to sleep.
A child lay wrapped in whispers,
his breath as pure as dawn,
the night itself seemed watching,
to see what love was born.
The mother’s eyes were shining,
the father’s heart was strong,
their hope became a promise,
that life could still belong.
The shepherds bowed in wonder,
their cloaks were torn with cold,
yet warmth came from that stable,
and stories would be told.
The wise men knelt beside them,
their gifts laid down with care,
no kingdom could compare to
the peace they found in there.
The star burned on in glory,
a beacon through the sky,
it told the world a secret,
that love would never die.
The years would turn like seasons,
the cities rise and fall,
yet somewhere in that stillness,
a child still saves us all.
