The Moon

The “toenail” is my favorite.

for word count purposes, i’ll tell y’all about this dope ass picture from a live performance I did last year. I had just finished reciting my original poem “the get away” and the aura in there was like a dark purple-ish thing going on. lovely vibes, spiritual energy floating all throughout the room. big shoutout to Second story, great people.

ok so, here’s the poem:

like the moon, i come and go. in an unfaithful pattern of half to whole, quarter to none. falling into that inconsistent category, but will shine in your time of murk.

i know it hurts

but when I rise and you climb, this love shit will work. it’s dark outside, but look up… and stare. i’m not bright like the sun but i’m the being that’ll shed enough light for you to see what’s out front—

of you.
