The Mirror
Self-Reflection (yes...)

the mirror
doesn't say much in reply,
when I ask it
what, where and why
the mirror
doesn't say much at all,
as it stares
hanging on the wall
i look in hope
for something fresh,
instead I see
the same old flesh,
I hope to see
a me I can believe,
will do better
and not deceive
the mirror
doesn't say much in reply,
as I strike it
it doesn't wonder why
it still looks blankly
on the wall
with no expression,
feeling at all
the mirror,
it mocks me, so I feel
it offers derision,
no push to heal,
as it stares
with disapproval, disgust
destroy the mirror
I know I must

Author's Notes: I both hate mirrors and find them intensely fascinating.
