The March

Time marches on, we all wear down

By Chris SantiagoPublished about a year ago • 1 min read

You were my safety my home

And you didn't even know

Many nights do I dream

of something never to be

In waking the world I roam

Like a softly crumbling stone

Alone I wander my steps weary

Nightly my thoughts of tomorrow fearing

Daily I wish I could have been bold

Everything about you warms my very soul

It hurts knowing you never got to see

What everything you did meant to me

When we're together I'll still act cold

So that you and all other will never know

That inside my heart and mind screams

To say something and to be free

About the Creator

Chris Santiago

I've always found a bit peace and release in putting word to written medium. I'm by no means an accomplished wordsmith but I find enjoyment in it. My love for writing started from world building that being a dungeon master provided.
