The Love of a Married Man is an Underrated Terror

The love of a married man is an underrated terror -

his gaze glittering with passing street lamps,

his tone a malicious mystery

indicated by intonation and devious inflection.

The love of a man is underrated -

wrecking havoc on the enclosed space in my chest

to the left of my spine.

My love is a terror -

undermining his authority,

making the married man

a man yet again.
