The Lost Key

Sophie had just moved into her new apartment and was excited to explore her new surroundings. But when she returned from her first day at work, she realized she had lost her apartment key. Panicked, she searched her purse, her pockets, and even retraced her steps to work, but the key was nowhere to be found.

As she stood outside her apartment, wondering what to do next, a kind elderly neighbor approached her. "What's the matter, dear?" he asked.

Sophie explained her situation, feeling embarrassed and helpless. The neighbor listened patiently and then smiled. "Don't worry," he said, "I have a spare key to your apartment. I've been keeping it for the previous tenant, just in case they ever lost their key."

Sophie was relieved and grateful. The neighbor handed her the spare key, and she was able to unlock her apartment and relax in her new home.

As she settled in, she realized how lucky she was to have such a kind neighbor. She vowed to repay the favor and make sure to always have a spare key on hand, just in case someone else needed it.
