The Little Things

The key is to stop looking

and start to really see.

This world is so vast

and almighty,

we shouldn’t focus on

how we disagree.

Nothing is a guarantee

and it may not be

your cup of tea but

let’s each become a devotee

and set ourselves free

of all this negativity.

There’s more to life than

the chaos they show on TV;

we must stop focusing

on all the debris,

appreciating the world

doesn't take a PHD.

You don’t have to view

the bigger picture to agree,

it’s the little things

that are key!

Have you ever stopped

to meet a bumblebee?

Or watched the leaves dance

atop a chestnut tree?

Or dipped your feet in

the never-ending sea?

Have you ever even thought

about the journey of a chickpea,

or the life of a manatee?

There is staggeringly more

to this world than just ‘we’,

and we have been given

the chance to oversee

it all for free!

The key is to stop looking
