The Letter

I received your letter today

I wanted to throw it away

I hated you when we broke up

You were gone to me forever.

Then today you wrote to me,

I read how you wanted me back

How could you ask me this

After telling me you kissed your ex?

Well, screw you, letter into the bin

I’ve got over you, can’t you see?

Our relationship shouldn’t have been,

It will never be again — no you and me.

I am over you, we’re done for good

Don’t write to me no more

If you do, I’ll tear it up unread

To me, my ex — you’re truly dead

For ever more.
