The Legend Of The Static Monster

Message not clear

Can not hear

Or see

What's on Tee

Vee

Wiped the tears

Bought some rabbit ears

Along with long neck beers

Nothing to fear

From the monster creating static

"I have had it"

Worked all night

Twisting, turning, getting antennas right

Static monster loosened its grip

After the channels were flipped

Did I mention?

Stood at attention

Saluting old glory

Not feeling sorry

National Anthem bringing broadcast schedule to a close

No more entertaining informative shows

Instead, the static monster reigns supreme

Serenading the recliner drunken dream

Until the rising sun

And dead air told, 'you are done'

Thinking they are having breakfast with you

Hung over due

To the rabbit ear single

Signal

Presenting everybody happy and bright

All day and night

Clock chimes witch's hour

Static monster unleashes the power

Taking control

Being bold

Then someone throws a switch

'What ads are you going to pitch?'

Static monster exclaims

Dowsing its communication disruption flame
