THE LEGACY LIVES ON

She wasn’t quite sure where she would go. She wasn’t even sure if she would survive. The only thing that she was sure about was that the situation of pain, heartache and despair needed to end.

She was tired of being in survival mode day to day as she toiled away in sweat and tears, working her body and mind down to the bones with the only promise of having to repetitively going through the same thing the next day, the next week, the next month and the next years.

Man, this lady had suffered. She watches her family suffer, she watched her friends suffer, she had to endure the pain of mothers having to watch their husbands be rapped, beat and killed all for the sake of what? Many, many years she held on to this. She heard the cries of her people. The cries of the land. She tried to take on all the burdens of all those evil people who will never understand. She did it all while trying to stay in a good headspace for her kids, as they looked to her for hope. For salvation. For anything including love. Man, she was strong. Stronger than the strength of 1000 men. You see she knew what it was like to get beat. She knew what it was like to get rapped and bare the child of a man who she despised and still managed to love that baby because He was a piece of her. She knew the pain of her own people hating her for looking to get out and on the flip coin she knew that pain of the wives, the daughters, the granddaughter of the sick disgusting bastards that would creep in her quarters at night and threaten to kill her family if she refused.

This is the most heartbreaking story, one of which we could never grasp. She did not ask for any of this, but she was born into in, breaded by the ones before her to just accept it. What a life to live but not live at all.

One day she chooses to rise and say I will not stand for the abuse, the hate, the mistreatment, the tyranny to upright disrespect for me; The one who is a fruit of the world. It was at that point she realized just how powerful she was. She had the ability to overcome anything that came her way. Through it all she was still standing. She realized that it was because of her and the ones that were before her, the ones that were beside her and the ones that will come after her that it is time to show just how prevailing and influential, she is. She chooses to command her freedom one way or another by using her mind and the feeling in a combination that only the strong will know. She mixed it all in a metaphoric pot, cooked it up. Added flavor, with substance and experience and served it to the world.

It was at that point she was free. Not free from the injustice, not free from the pain, not free from the society but free from the standards and opposition that was against her from day one. It nothing in this world that can compare to the divine destiny of her essence, her presence, or femininity. She is here to create, here to love, here to educate, her to build generation of generations or generations to come.

She was made for this and build to last. NO ONE WILL EVER STOP THIS MOVEMENT.

Who is she you asked? I know we all want to know. We been waiting for all this time for her to show.

Well, here is it her Identity is a Woman. Not just any woman but a strong black woman. The one who was made just right, who may seem imperfect in plain sight but more than perfect in absolute delight.

It is here and now that we all decree, she is not only extraordinary but celestial. Her essence will forever be around and is carried in our DNA not just my DNA not just your DNA but deeply rooted in us all. And with that we have the power to change it all if we embrace and react and follow through.
