I cling, a jewel on a crown of gold,

The last survivor, summer's tale untold.

My sisters, vibrant, have danced away,

On autumn's breath, to a colder day.

But I won't tremble, though winds may sigh,

My emerald heart with a fire does lie.

I'll pirouette on this fragile bough,

A final flourish, a farewell vow.

For even fading, beauty remains,

A splash of color on frosted plains.

A silent poem, the world to see,

Of life's sweet dance, and eternity.

So watch me twirl, with the sun's last kiss,

A final pirouette, before I'm missed.

A tiny dancer, in nature's grand scheme,

Leaving a whisper, a vibrant dream.
