A Magical Fantasy For My Muse
This is a poem for my Muse, she loves the sea and she loves magic and I hope this provides a little of both for everyone.
For the lead song I have chosen βFor My Ladyβ by The Moody Blues, which I thought may be a bit twee, but it is actually quite beautiful.

In this Castle by the Ocean Side
A Lady of Power wears a crown
She waits within there for my return
If She wants She could draw the Moon Down

The Jealous Ones Say She Is A Witch
A Witch Is A Woman of Power
She Can call the Mermaids From The Sea
As She braids her hair in her tower

She is the Queen of All That She Sees
She Rules All Under The Seven Seas
She Will Always Have My Allegiance
She Is Ever The Ocean Regent
When I return weβll be together
In Each Otherβs Hearts Forever

When The Sith Lord Lost His Phone
For Christmas, I got a furry black dressing gown with a hood, which when I pull it up makes me look like an evil Sith Lord from the Star Wars universe. I am actually a nice guy and people love me but thought it would be a good poetry challenge to chain up a Sith Lord to losing a mobile phone.

Letter to our Queer & Trans Youth
Hey, you. I thought Iβd start this letter by telling you a little about myself, just so you know who youβre dealing with. Iβm an emotional dad, father to three amazing kids who we met through the foster care system, and whose presence in our lives has really transformed my sense of responsibility to the communities that surround us. The connections weβve made with one another, with our extended families, and with the communities where we live and look for belonging have catapulted us into this whirlwind of emotional tumult which, while not easy by any stretch of the measure, has also been remarkably healing. I realize ours is really only a one-sided chosen family, since our kids didnβt get to choose to live here, but Iβd like to think that they did choose to let us love them, which allowed them to grow to love us. And I think thatβs where I want to go with this letter- to a place where you can find belonging and healing- even if the pathway there may be peppered with some emotional tumult.
