Once upon a time, a stand-up comedian named Jack,

Decided to embark on a comedic hack.

He challenged himself to write a joke every day,

For a year straight, come what may.

At first, Jack was full of fire and inspiration,

He churned out jokes with ease and elation.

His audiences laughed and cheered with delight,

As Jack's jokes hit their mark with all their might.

But as the days went by, the challenge grew harder,

Jack's creative juices started to falter.

He scoured the news, the internet and TV,

But nothing seemed funny enough, he couldn't see.

One day he tried to write a joke about cheese,

But all he could think of was "it makes me sneeze."

His audience groaned, they didn't think it was funny,

Jack's joke was as stale as day-old honey.

But Jack didn't give up, he soldiered on,

He knew he could do it, he just needed a dawn.

So he took a break, went for a walk in the park,

And suddenly, inspiration struck like a spark.

He rushed back to his notebook, pen in hand,

And started scribbling down ideas grand.

He wrote and he wrote until he had something good,

Something that would make the audience laugh like they should.

Jack continued his challenge, day after day,

And though it wasn't always easy, he found a way.

He learned that sometimes you just need a little break,

To let the creative juices flow and the laughter to wake.

And in the end, Jack succeeded with his year-long feat,

Writing a joke every day, a truly amazing feat.

So if you're ever feeling down and in need of a laugh,

Just remember Jack's story, and go ahead and chuckle in half!
