The Ivory Kings
A sad picture of the elephant kingdom hunted for ivory

The Ivory Kings
In a land where tall trees grow,
Elephants walked, proud and slow.
They ruled the land, strong and wise,
With kind hearts and gentle eyes.
Tusks like moonlight, big and white,
Shone like stars in the dark night.
But hunters came from far and wide,
With greed and guns they could not hide.
They wanted ivory, cold and hard,
Not caring for the lives they scarred.
One by one, the kings fell down,
Leaving silence all around.
Now the jungle cries each day,
For those who’ve been chased away.
though in the wind, a whisper stays,
The elephants will rise one day.
Their spirits march through grass and sky,
Trumpets loud, they will not die.
Though ivory fades, their souls remain.
The heart of the wild, free from pain
