The Invisible Ones

On the streets, they wander aimlessly,

The homeless, the forgotten, the ones society doesn't see.

They are the invisible ones,

Whose stories are often left untold and undone.

We pass them by, day after day,

As if they are simply in the way.

We see them, but we don't really see,

The struggle and the pain that they keep.

They are the ones who sleep on the streets,

With no place to go and no one to meet.

They are the ones who hunger and thirst,

With no food or drink to quench their hurt.

We talk about them, but we don't really care,

As if they are the ones who put themselves there.

But the truth is, homelessness can happen to anyone,

And we need to acknowledge that they need help from everyone.

The homeless are not invisible,

They are human beings, just like me and you.

They deserve our compassion and our care,

And a chance to live a life that's fair.

Let us not overlook their plight,

Or ignore them in plain sight.

Let us reach out and lend a hand,

To help them stand and take a stand.

For the homeless are not invisible,

And their stories are worth being told.

Let us see them, and let us hear their cry,

For a better tomorrow, where no one is left to die.
