The best trauma we'll ever experience

I remember those days

People going, people staying

People dating, people playing

People praying, people slaying

I remember those days

The stories untold

The stories too short

The stories too bold

I remember those days

Carefree villains

Actions unforgiven

Chasing the adrenaline

I remember those days

Life made before life lived

The beat, the bruised, the broken

Horrors never spoken

I remember those days

I, sheltered at home,

Watched them walk boldly into the unknown

Watched those lives as they were thrown

I remember those days

Before the morning sun

I may have been young

But I've never been dumb
