The Inequality of Life

Life is unfair for everyone

In wealth, in health, in love, in fun

The rich are privileged but still want more

The poor are struggling to keep even a score

The rich get richer while the poor stay poor

The struggle they face is so hard to ignore

The rich are given a leg up, while the poor are left behind

It's an uphill battle they can't seem to climb

The wealthy can buy anything they desire

Their problems are quickly set on fire

The poor are forced to work much harder

With no luxury to make life easier

Life is unfair to both the rich and the poor

It's a sad truth that no one can ignore

No matter the circumstance, life's cruelty is here to stay

Until we create a more balanced way.
