The hourglass, a symbol profound,

Capturing the essence of time unbound,

In its shapely form, a story untold,

As sands descend, so life does flow,

A dance with time, an ebb and a glow,

Yet no mortal hand can truly command,

The grains of destiny slipping through sand.
