The heartbreak

Sometimes we fight like middle schoolers, it really isn’t fair. The way we tear each other down, as if we didn’t care.

We fight for stupid reasons, you overthink, I do too, we never come to terms with the fact, that this is what we do.

I hate it when we argue, it’s senseless never solves a thing, we never seem to notice all the heartbreak it can bring.

Then one of us says something out of anger out of spite, and we have to work for hours, just to make it right.

This behavior we hold onto is hurting us you must see, it only causes a distance to be placed between you and me.

We both should know so much better, we’re not teenagers anymore, but still we continue to beat and bruise , when we could be so much more.

We love each other so deeply, we forget how fragile we are, when we hurt each other the way we do, it leaves an ugly scar.

Please try your best to work with me, to end this ugly thing, so we can share that beautiful love that causes both our hearts to sing.
