i put on those old overalls

that i would wear when pulling weeds

which turns out were the very ones

i wore when i was planting seeds

so, i decided to just keep them on

and wear them in the harvest

i walked on through the saffron

and what was left, i found was honest

a pure and simple memory

from the life that i have lived

affected by the sensory

and special moments that were weaved

it never mattered what i wore

the results were still the same

the harvest sewed what the love was for

a protected and sacred flame
