The Grinch on My Roof
He really is kinder than he lets on

The Grinch on My Roof
He stomped on the shingles,
grinning like sin,
acting like Christmas
was his to command.
He shouted loudly,
demanding respect,
as if every snowflake
owed him a bow.
He glared at my doorway,
hands on his hips,
like he expected
biscuits and fame.
Kids waved upward,
he groaned in despair,
pretending he hated
their joy in the air.
I blew him a kiss,
he nearly fell,
tripping on sass
he didn’t expect.
He marched off muttering,
still green and proud,
but his tiny smile
betrayed him out loud.
Say Hi to him and make his day ♥️💙♥️
