The Great Mystery

Defining Love

The greatest kind of love

Is the love you give away.

Love cannot be bought,

There is no price to convey.

The deepest love gives and gives,

It cannot die, it only lives.

It surpasses hurt and

Overlooks lies.

It isn't oblivious,

But it covers and flies.

It's unmatched,

it's rarely found.

But when it is,

Keep it around.

It praises ups,

Celebrates wins.

But acknowledges downs,

Covers sins.

It isn't passive,

It's always sure.

It rises above,

And presses for more.

It makes you strong,

It shows that your weak.

It comforts in failure,

It is always meek.

Keep it near,

Nurture and grow.

Real love is rare,

This I know.
