The Grass Must Be Greener
Did you find a warmer embrace
When you wrapped yourself
With the arms of another
A sweeter honey sought
On lips that were not mine
A laugh more enticing
A love more stirring
Striking a spark in you
But what happened to the fire
That burned in you
From the spark that I lit
What rain came to quench the burn
What wind snuffed out
The breath that breathed between us
Or was it always in your nature
To be a bee
Flitting from flower to flower
Seeking something more
Your eyes were always turned
To greener pastures
On far away hills
What they could offer you
That apparently I could not
I just hope this time that
You finally found
What you were looking for
Back when you were mine
