The Earth Goddess

The Earth Goddess lived on

In the form of a curvy Statue

Villagers had rubbed her for years

Polishing her well-rounded figure

Till it mirrored one's reflection

Her bottom rounded from childbirth

Her hair up in a rounded bun

Beautiful kind eyes belying

The secret knowledge of the pursed lips

What happened to the people

Who used to worship this Statue

The tribes who used to sacrifice

To this unknown Earth Goddess

The Priests and Priestesses

Who used to care and pray

To their Goddess of Fertility

For a millennium has passed

And the people are forgotten

But their Goddess lives on
