The girl with...

A life in rainbow

By Molly Aitken Sheridan Published 2 years ago Updated about a year ago 1 min read

The girl with the red stick on her lips

She does it for herself

To help her smile on through

And to earn punters tips

/

The girl with the orange office chair,

With size that’s just right

To brighten days throughout

Working at home days a ‘mare

/

The girl with the yellow purse,

Multiple points cards she showed

He laughed with her contently

While beers and secrets flowed

/

The girl with the green fishtail dress

The one to show them all

Dark horse she emerged

To cut though predictable mess

/

The girl with the blue dressing gown

With stars and moons embossed

Its comfort brings joy

And reminders of good days past

/

The girl with the purple car

Seen in places she shouldn’t be

Small enough for what she needs

To go places, there and also far

/

The girl with the pink face mask

Princess Jasmine he called her

Am I protecting myself?

The question she didn’t dare ask
