I could watch you play forever.
Stare at you as you dream.
Listen to you cry always…
You are everything.
I hold your tiny hand in mine…
Lay your head against my chest.
Life is beautiful in so many ways…
But Precious you’re the best.
I’ve never seen such wonder.
A fairytale of true.
A miracle in my life…
The Gift of You.
Your soft sweet voice to my ear…
It slowly melts my heart.
I watch your fiery temper…
And it makes me laugh.
Because you’re already…
So much like your Mum.
Already perfect and amazing…
Your life has just begun.
I’ve never seen such wonder.
A fairytale of true.
A miracle in my life…
The Gift of You.
Every night when I carry you to bed…
I thank God you’re in my life.
And feel the pride of a king…
To know part of me produced your life.

When the Robots Took My Job
This is for RM Stockton's Write Club prompt for the month of April: AI Please allow me to vent. For "college," I went to a scam school that is now closed. We were promised internships that were never spoken of again after admissions, and we were promised help finding jobs. The first time I went to the career counselor's office, she was completely frazzled. She had no idea what to do with us, the film majors. The second time I visited her office, I let her know that I'd found myself a job, and she was visibly relieved.
