THE GARDEN WITHIN

A crimson rose beside her face,
green leaves entwine her hair,
she carries secrets in her eyes
that only flowers share.

The golden sun hangs overhead,
the sky is soft and blue,
and every leaf that shelters her
holds something she once knew.

She doesn’t hide because she’s weak,
she hides among the green,
for sometimes that’s the safest place
to find the girl she’s been.

And underneath the tangled leaves,
beneath the rose so bright,
a quiet woman blooms again
and turns her face to light.

The leaves remember every storm,
the petals every rain,
yet somehow from the broken earth
she learned to bloom again.

She painted shadows into gold,
and darkness into green,
until the garden in her heart
became a place serene.

The rose became her little flame,
the sunlight became her guide,
and all the things she once had feared
could no longer make her hide.

She doesn’t need to speak aloud,
the colours tell her tale,
of love and loss and finding strength
when everything seemed frail.

So let the wild leaves climb and grow,
let every flower start—
for what appears a garden wall
may simply be her heart. 🌹
