The Garden of Me

Will I bloom or wilt?

Unkempt

Messy

Overgrown shrubs

Long, curly vines

Before your mind goes to the gutter..

Go to the garden.

A garden called my heart

A neglected heart.

That was once upon a time...

A LONG LONG time ago,

Tended with care.

Now, there are only

Weeds of doubt

Leaves of regret.

How can I make way

For flowers of forgiveness

Or grass of growth?

I am no gardener

No green thumb here.

So how then, am I supposed to care

For a garden I own

But have no idea how to manage...

I thought you would do it some justice,

But instead now it's just moss, mould, gross.

Can good things bloom again?

Or is everything just going to wilt,

Dry out,

Die?

I don't know.

Maybe I just need to learn

To love myself again

Do things on my own again

So at least this garden can heal

And help others find some serenity

Instead of being a sight for sore eyes.
